The mice were maintained specific-pathogen free conditions with a 12/12-hour light/dark cycle, 22-26℃, 30-70% relative humidity with sterile pellet food and water ad libitum. Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) of Shantou University Medical College approved all animal protocols used in this study.

The diets composition complies with the requirements of the Chinese National Standard GB 14924.3-2010, Laboratory Animals Nutrients for Formula Feeds.
